It took me a long time to realise why my energy levels weren’t at their best, even at the age of 20, when I was supposed to be in peak physical condition and full of energy. I thought that period pain and chronic fatigue were normal and simply part of being a woman. I thought that sleeping 10 hours a night and still feeling exhausted in the morning was down to my laziness.
But at some point, I’d had enough and set out to find answers.
